"Too many 5th graders to count" filled up the library this afternoon to enjoy The Invention of Hugo Cabret in an after school book club event. The Caldecott award-wining book is written by Brian Selznick and is coming to the theatres this November. Students enjoyed viewing the book through the document camera on a projection screen if they didn't have their own copy today. Book Club will start up at Chapter 10 on page 222 for our next meeting on September 23.
Michelle Tuite and Jan Pelias lead the book club each year with interested 5th graders. After enjoying this book together, everyone will have the chance to meet at the movies to see if the book or the movie is better. Here's a hint...the book ALWAYS wins!
