Smith Readers went on a treasure hunt last week the day that Read It Forward began!  Mrs. Pelias and Mrs. Elledge had fun hiding the wrapped books in secret spots all over the classrooms.  Students at Smith can thank the PTA Book Fair for providing the books for us to read and pass forward!  The first student who finds the book, reads it, enjoys it, writes their favorite part on the inside cover and then...reads it forward and shares the book with a friend.  The reading fun just keeps going on and on.
Kinder and first grade students will be sharing Unicorn Thinks He's Pretty Great by Bob Shea

Second graders are being introduced to Flat Stanley before their big send-off in November!  It's the 50th Anniversary of Flat Stanley!  He doesn't look a day over 7 years old!!!

Geronimo Stilton is entertaining the third grade readers with one of his many, crazy adventures.  Look for more of Geronimo at the PTA BOOK FAIR October 20-24.

Savvy by Ingrid Law just got picked by Walden Media to be written up as a movie!  Fourth and Fifth Graders can decide who they want to star in the movie as if they were the directors:)
