Who doesn't dream of having a million dollars?  You can learn all about numbers from David Schwartz, another featured author for Picture Book Month.  Smith teachers love using the authors books when teaching about numbers and place value.  The Smith Library has several of his books for students to check out and enjoy.  While the books teach students how much is a million, they might not share that million dollar secret to making it rich. (ha ha)

For a virtual author visit,  go to David Schwartz's blog and read his biography and posts about where he gets his ideas for writing!  He even has a pumpkin book for November titled, Rotten Pumpkin.  It's what happens to Jack-O-Lanterns after Halloween.  Very clever!
