The Smith family honored Veterans at our annual Veterans Day Remembrance ceremony.  The third grade sang three patriotic songs under the direction of Janis Dahl, music teacher. Jenny Pitts, art teacher facilitated art lessons about the poppy flower and had student artwork decorate the halls.  District personnel and city officials were invited to see how students were honoring Veterans.  The Frisco Police Department Honor Guard presented the colors, and students were chosen to share what Veterans Day means to them.  Major Tim Nelson was our keynote speaker and shared about the sacrifices that he and his family have made over the years he has been in the Army.  After the morning ceremony,  Veterans and guests were invited to the library for a reception held in their honor.  Enjoy these pictures that will share some of the days events.
