Readers that visit the Smith Reads Library during December are in for a tasty treat! Our famous story porch has been transformed into a gingerbread house that looks like it is straight from one of Jan Brett's books! Kindergarten gingerbread faces line the porch along the rails while the rooftop is covered in billowy white frosting and colorful sugared candies. Well, maybe not good enough to eat...but it is enjoyable to see!!! The Gingerbread Story Porch puts a smile on everyone's face who enters the library. Teachers love taking class pictures in front of the Gingerbread house, and parents are welcome to come see it!
