Students in Kindergarten through Second Grade celebrate reading award-winning Caldecott books by drawing their favorite scene from the book.  Using technology, the artists create digital masterpieces through drawing programs like Doodle Buddy and Paint.  These illustrations are emailed to Mrs. Pelias and put on digital display in the library!  Students who read four different Caldecott books and send in four different scenes will be recognized at Celebrate Smith this Spring.

Recently, a second grade student used Osmo to create a drawing for her entry.  Look at how amazing this process is!!!  What a fun idea!  It's like her creative talents have been super-charged!!!
